Financial Information & Insurance

At Renaissance Family Dentistry, we want the financial side of dental care to be clear and straightforward. Before treatment begins, our team will review recommended care, associated fees, and the payment options available to you so you can make an informed decision without surprises.

We are an independent dental practice and are not contracted with dental insurance networks. This allows us to make treatment recommendations based on what we believe is appropriate for your health rather than on the limitations of a particular insurance plan.

Using Dental Insurance at Renaissance

Being outside of an insurance network does not necessarily mean that you cannot use your dental benefits at our office. Many of our patients have out-of-network benefits and choose to use them toward care at Renaissance Family Dentistry.

Our team is happy to help you understand how your particular plan may work at our practice and to assist with insurance claims when applicable. Because every plan is different, coverage and reimbursement depend on the specific benefits provided by your employer or insurance carrier.

Dental insurance is best thought of as a benefit that may help offset a portion of the cost of care rather than as a guarantee of coverage. We will do our best to provide useful information, but your insurance company ultimately determines what it will reimburse.

Payment for Care

Payment is due at the time services are provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept common forms of payment and can review available financing or payment options with you when larger treatment plans are recommended.

If you have questions about the cost of a recommended procedure, we encourage you to ask. We would rather have a clear conversation before treatment than have finances become confusing afterward.

Questions About Your Benefits or Treatment Costs?

Insurance plans and treatment estimates can be confusing, and we do not expect you to navigate them alone. Our team is happy to discuss your benefits, estimated costs, and available options before you move forward with care.

If you are considering Renaissance Family Dentistry and are unsure how your dental benefits may work here, please contact our office. We will help you understand the information available so you can decide whether our practice is the right fit for you.

Payment Options

We are pleased to accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit interest-free financing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental x-rays are extremely important because they can show indicators of periodontal disease, decay, and other problems that may not be detectable just by looking at your teeth from the outside.

We know that unnecessary radiation exposure may be a concern for patients, so we use digital x-rays, which can reduce your radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent compared to traditional film x-rays. We also provide patients with a protective apron to wear while x-rays are taken to further minimize any radiation exposure. However, with the latest advances in dental x-ray technology, your exposure to radiation while receiving a dental x-ray is so limited that it often doesn’t even equal the amount you receive from daily natural background radiation.

If you have any questions about the need for dental x-rays, please let us know.
