We are always excited to welcome new patients to our practice and show them why our patients love coming to Dr. Suman for oral health care. It all starts with your very first visit, and from the moment you arrive, you will see how personalized care and attention to detail can improve your perception of dentistry.
What to Bring to Your First Visit
In order for us to provide the safest, most appropriate care, we need to obtain some information from you, including your dental and medical history, as well as any prescription medications you take.
We are committed to your safety and the safety of our team during the coronavirus pandemic and have taken extra precautions at our office to keep everyone safe. For this reason, we will also ask you to complete a COVID-19 screening form and consent form.
You will find everything you need on our forms page. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Your First Appointment
Your first appointment will start with dental x-rays so that we have a full picture of your oral health before we get started. One of our hygienists will examine your teeth and gums and check for signs of gingivitis that may be developing without your knowledge.
If you are due for a cleaning, one of our dental hygienists will provide a gentle, but thorough teeth cleaning.
Next, you will meet with Dr. Suman, who will review the information obtained from your examination and x-rays. They will discuss their findings with you, point out areas of concern, and explain the treatment options we offer to resolve them.
By the time you leave our office, we will have a mutually-agreed treatment plan in place. Our financial coordinator will explain how your insurance benefits apply and also review your financing options.
